run flats
I just discovered a screw in my front passenger tire,,,, I have the oem goodyear run flats,,,, my question is ,,, when this screw comes out can the whole be patched or does it requir a new tire.... and if I need to get new tires,, which my time is coming, can you guys sudgest a good non run flat for a resonable price,,,, Im on a budget and want t get the best bang for my buck,,,, the c5 is not a daily driver,,, its a weekend and afternoon driver,,,,,,,,,,so what are my best options

Forget about runflats,,,,they suck and cost way to much to ride and handle that bad! Go to tirerack and learn about your options then shop where you will!

The OEM runflats can be patched 2 times and still retain their speed rating.
BTW, The GSD3 is a non-runflat (and one of, if not the best out there). While Goodyear does make a GSD3 runflat, it is usually labeled as such. Runflat tires weigh up to 6 lbs more than non-runflats and special equipment/trained personnel are required to mount them without damaging the wheel. The best thing about non-runflats is the ride - much better!

If you are going to replace with runflats...Kumho makes a fairly good and less expensive runflat...If you are going to venture into the non runflat arena....check out General UHP's...mainly because you mentioned cost as a factor........
