Default Tire Preference?

Looking for some new skins for my 98. Live in New England and usually put her away for the season the end of November. My driving style is mostly cruising but its a vette and somtimes you just have to get nasty with it!
Still have the original run flats but looking at non run flats this time around.
Looking to spend $750 tops. Im considering the BFG G force Super Sport A/S or the Good Year F1 A/S. Would like the Gs-d3's but out of my price range! Whatcha think of these tires or any other recommendations in this price range? Also Tire Rack or Discount Tire Direct and do you usually buy the tire road hazzard?

Thanks

The only down side about the super high performance Summer tires like the GSD3s and PS2s is that they are cold temperature-limited. If you plan to drive your car when the temps are under 40, an all-season may be your best bet. Keep in mind that no all season will match the performance ability of the top-tier tires mentioned above. The BF Goodrich you listed is a good all-season tire.
And no, I never get hazard warranty and haven't had a relevant problem so far.

Look at the Firestone Wide Ovals too. Also, there have been several member here report good results with the General Exclaim UHP tires.

I have the Goodyear F1 AS non runflats and LOVE them. GREAT handling, Quiet, Long treadlife, GREAT in wet and snow, and Perma Black sidewalls that stay black instead of turning brownish after sitting in the garage. I Highly recommend. Goodtear offers 30 day rturn if your'e unhappy. Got mine at Discount tire store $925 out the door. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Goodyear F1 All Season tires. $925 out the door at Discount Tire. Nonrunflats with very stiff carbon fiber sidewalls, Goodyears newest technology. I researched these for days on the web and am thrilled with the performance and treadwear rating (420). They are superior in every way to the OEM runflats. Goodyear offers a 30 day trial and free2 year roadside service. Read up on these and you will be impressed. Compare the ratings on TireRacks site of these F1' all seasons and other Ultra performance Summer tires like Goodyear GSD3's and you will find they are in the same league as the best of them. Any questions PM or email me...

Had Michelin PS2's on my Zo6 when I bought it. Perfect tires (Atlanta climate) till the last bit.

Sticker shock made me get Toyo T1's and they cost me $835 mounted and balanced (Zo6 sizes) and they've been almost identical to the PS2's in performance.

I've ridden in a Zo6 with Firehawk Wide Ovals and that's the reason I decided to go against them in favor of the Toyos for the same $$$

I'm buying Toyo again here pretty soon, after about 12k miles of aggressive use I'm getting another set... that's the best advertisement I can give in terms of faith.

Currently running PS2's, best non-drag radial tire I have ever run period! However, they are very $$$.

I have run Toyo's in the past & have BFG's on another car. Both are also very good!

Had a friend get some Nitto Invo's recently & he loves them....good luck!
