Some have moved theirs to the passenger side cubby hole, but it'll probably take up most if not all of the space...

I think I will just sell the changer and convert the cable to MP3 player capable.

I moved mine to the passenger side as he stated. it was a pain because there is not enough room to turn the screws holding the unit to the bracket which has to be installed first (if I remember correctly) I got around it all by shortening my 1/4" drive nut driver to about 3-4 inches so it would line up with the screw heads I was using. Socket wouldn't work...no room either for one.

I moved mine to the passenger side compartment recently. I simply used a tiny pillow on the bottom and a very thick towel all the way around to keep it in place. It doesn't budge at all and does not skip either. I plan on selling it after I build my box for the middle compartment though. It's too big to put it anywhere where i can reach it while in the car and I don't like having to get out to change to a cd I may be in the mood for at the time.
