Maybe a C5?
I'd prefer a C5 over a C4. However, if I owned a '96 with 17k miles on it and it was paid off, then I'd probably just keep it, so long as I was happy with the car.
If you've owned the C4 for 4 years and it only has 17k miles, then it sounds like your Corvette is rarely driven...and probably quite perfect. I'd save my money, enjoy your C4 for another three or four years and then purchase a used C6. Used '05 Corvettes are already in the low $30k range around here in three or four years they'll be solidly in the $20k range.




But I couldn't pay for my daughter a new car (Cobalt) and manage two Vettes at the same time. So I elected to go that route. The C5 is an awesome improvement over the 4th generation but they are still nice Vettes.
