Default Front Bra

I am going to pick up my new Corvette and drive it home 1,000 miles. It has no front bra and i am planning on doing the clear bra thing once i get it home. My question is, is there a bra that you can put on the car that does not need any snaps or other things installed. I am looking for soemthong i can just put on and drive the car???

I know of a couple people that just put saran wrap on the front. It keeps the bugs off and when you get home, you peel it off. Surprisingly enough, even at illegal speeds, it stays on the car.

I'd put a couple layers of it on, just in case of rocks too.

Good Luck and Welcome to the Wonderful World of Vette Ownership!

By the way, Please don't forget to wave!

The Colgan bra does not require extra snaps. It covers more than the GM bra, including the headlight covers. It does have to be loosened to open the hood. This is the cover (with mirror covers) that I used on a cross-country trip. If you use a cover and get caught in rain, be sure to remove it and hose it off to remove any grit or sand.

When I drove mine back from California (700 miles) I was in the same situation. Here is what I did. I went to Home Depot and bought a roll of 3 inch blue painters tape and covered the whole front nose cap and the headlight doors. Cost me about $6.00. Worked great and stayed on all the way home. Even in the some rain. Wasn't real pretty but I didn't care. I didn't get any chips in the paint.[IMG][/IMG]

The GM bra requires snaps to hold it tight. Not sure if snaps are required, but you might look into the stretch type bra that C5 Creations sells.
