Default Does anyone have a small battery??

Just seeing if any of you guys have a small battery in your car.

Do you have any pics? did you mount it up yourself? or is there a vendor that makes a kit?

I had one in my last car 06 evo and they are pretty popular with the import crowd.

thanks

Why would you want to go with a smaller battery? With the exception of the Odyssey batteries, smaller batteries are usually less Amps. Which means you could have electrical problems. If you tried to run any kind of decent audio with amps you're not going to have the power to do it. Leave the small batteries to the import crowd.

^^ not the response I was looking for....

I do not and will not put in any kind of audio video equipment in my car, I dont listen to the radio if the car is off.

The small battery kit I had in my last car gave me NO problems and shaved 28 lbs off the front of the car.

Saving weight was why I went with the Odyssey 925, it's been in there two years with no problems yet.

Yea, I know, the Z06 badge added weight.

I would have said be careful because this car is heavy on batteries. There seems to be a small drain even when everythings off. That said, if Last C5 has been running the Odyssey for 2 years it just shows that anything's possible. Looks like a neat clamp down kit he made up. I assume the stock hold down wouldn't work as it clamps down the ridge on the base of the battery.

I'd say if it meets to spec, give it a go. Let us know how it performs.

You might want to read the battery thread I posted. I put the specs for battery performance in there:

I can't take credit for the hold down, it's an accessory piece sold by Odyssey. I just added the captured nuts onto the stock tray to make removal and replacement easier. I did stick the Z06 badge on all by myself though.
