Default The Countdown is on!

In 5 days I fly out to get my 02 Z06! Today went by sooo slow! I have already had an 02 Z06, so I know what I'm in for! I cant wait to drive it back home this weekend. Heres a pic of my Red 02 that I sold in back in May. I really miss it, but I think this new one will help me get over it!

Congrats! I remember buying mine in january this year. I live in Alaska but found "the one" in Los Angeles. I flew down to look at it; it checked out. Flew back to Alaska to arrange financing and get a private party check; flew back to Los Angeles to buy it and store it until spring; flew back to Alaska; flew back in Feb for a week just to drive it around 'cause I missed it so much; did that again in march; then FINALLY in late April I flew back AGAIN to pick her up and drive her to Seattle. At that point I put her on a barge and picked her up two weeks later. The drive from LAX to SEA was GREAT! I detoured everywhere and had a blast.

Have a very safe drive, stay safe, and enjoy the hell out of it! Do you have any pictures of the new beast?

Here's mine...

Dang!! You did good! CA car, huh? Mine too... you know what, in that picture, the neighborhood looks eerily familiar. Is that Simi Valley? I swear that house back there looks just like my aunt's... but I bet by now, there's a million of those kinds of houses in LA.

edit; yeah, all told I did five trips, including 2 in that first week. Luckily I fly for free thanks to my profession!

This car is located in Nevada & is owned by a forum member. (APU6speed) He's a decent guy and has been great communicating with me & working out the logistics for picking up the car. Heres the F/S link, as I'm sure you all saw it. BTW, the seller was cool enough to work with me on price, so he let it go for less than the asking price in the ad. For anyone wondering if this was the one for $15k which the seller said it had a blown engine..... it isnt. Same city, same color & close to the same mileage, but different car.

Today is the day... I leave outta here around 4:30! According to Google it should be about a 12 hour drive back home. I'm thinking I'll be back Sunday evening for dinner if I leave Vegas early enough Sunday a.m. I'll post up pics as soon as I can. See ya!

Hi Mike, well, I made it home for dinner at 8pm sharp Sunday evening. The car ran flawlessly and managed 29.3 mpg even with a few good blasts with the go pedal down Thats some town you live in there. I cant wait to come back and do the "Vegas" thing next time. Take care!
