This weekend I decided to put on a set of plugs and wires. Everything went smoothly until I left for work yesterday morning. The car was missing so I decided to look at the car when I got back home.
Back at home I pulled out one of the plugs and it looked good, so I pulled another one just to compare and that one looked good to. What the heck! So I checked all the connections for the wires and that was good. I started the car again and it was still missing terribly so I decided to check the ohms on the wires. The wires were running .35 and then came one that was clearly broken, and then another, and another. I called the parts store to exchange them and the guy tells me "oh yeah we have had 3 other sets with the same problem recently".
That somewhat ticks me off considering that they know and never pulled them off the shelf and now my car is down waiting for the new MSD 8.5 red wires. These were Accels which were already on the car.
The reason my car is down is that I broke one wire. Always happens doesn't it Just thought that I would share my dilema with the rest of you as I am sure others have had simple tunes go bad.
