I bought a HUD setup for my C5, Planning on undertaking the project within the next few weekends and have a question on programming the cluster mileage to match my current mileage.
1) Is it possible to program the mileage myself?
2) If I do need some special tools, can you tell possibly me what they are and where to get them?
3) If I can't do the programming, can a bodyshop program the mileage, can a dealer do it? in other words, who can do the programming for me?
4) Last one - can the mileage be programmed after the install of the cluster or does it have to be done before the cluster gets installed in the dash
Any and all help is really appreciated
Thanks
Bruce
From what I heard you need to get it programmed by the dealer or an authorized speed shop, so they can verify that the mileage is authentic - I assume by law. Otherwise when you install it, you're stuck with whatever miles the new cluster has.
