[Z06] How Much For ZexZo6 ? ? ?
A) trade for a higher blue book car.
B) take it back to stock and sell the parts on here/evil bay and then sell the car unmodified.
If you are not up for the work/hassle of B) and can't afford don't have room for both cars- I would do A in a heartbeat provided you have it checked out by carfax, autocheck, dodge mechanic/viper specialist, etc... life is short if you think you want to try a viper and after driving it and researching it you still want one go for it- you can get a vette again- they are only depreciating unless you wait 15-20 years.
You will have a very hard time selling your car as it sits for 45K. I would say 30-35K if you find the right buyer. You can probably sell it for sadly 23-26 stock and recover 75% of your mods expense depending on what they are.
Even stock you may have a hard time selling the vette as the few buyers out there of luxury items are driving hard bargains as they know its a buyers market-
I finally sold my extensively modified 5.0 foxbody coupe for considerably less than half of what I had in it after 8 months of pleading and begging and it even "looked" bone stock. I should have parted the whole car or at least taken it back to stock but I couldn't bear to tear apart a perfectly good package. The non-essential parts I did take off of it however before I sold it I made money on some of them and almost got what I paid on everything else. The good news is as I didn't wait for the market to recover I also got a great deal on my z06 and I have already sunk most of part proceeds in mods to my z. heheh I guess I didn't learn ;-)
Oh yeah my car made it in 5.0 and Super Fords magazine (May 08) while I had it for sale-not the cover but it didn't really make that much difference as far as I could tell before/after it was printed- its a tough market now. I am aware the majority of the corvette demographic is different than the mustang so it may make a bigger difference.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
If this is what you want to do I say go for it you only live once! I like to experience as many awesome machines as possible.
If it were my car, and I will be in the same boat as you as mine is being featured in 3 magazines currently, I would.
Put it out there first at the higher price and see how it does.
If it doesn't
Then start putting it back to stock and get a lot of that money back. Those parts are worth a TON of money as parts don't throw it all away because you get lazy and just don't want to go through the hassle of pulling the parts off.
I got bit twice like that and I will never do it again.
I traded a car in once that was modded to a dealer and got nothing for the parts.
Next week I went to my local speed shop to buy parts for my new car, and there was my old car having the aftermarket parts taken off by the dealer and sold for pennies to the speed shop to sell used.

Just my opinion.
Your a smart dude for asking about something like this!
Best of Luck to You!
