Default Intake - ????

Which Intake setup should I get for my 01 Z06? I want one that I can remove and put my stock airbox back in if I need to, i.e. no major modifications to the stock setup, drilling and cutting.

TIA

Would have to recommend the HallTech T1 and I'm sure most ZO6ers would agree. Easy on, easy off, proven HP gains.

Directly from HallTech. Here is the link to their site. http://www.corvettec5.com/ Get 1 quick, I think they're on sale.
Also there are a lot of posts on ZO6Vette.com forums about the Halltech system.

If you don't want to cut or drill, then I would go for the Donaldson LS6.

Stick with the stock. It has all of the air flow the stock intake system needs. A lot of people selling products, or people who believe them will try to blow smoke about how much more hp this, or that intake system will give you, but the truth is - those little holes in the stock air cleaner are sufficient.

I made the mistake of buying the Donaldson Blackwing for more hp. THe fact is the hp gain was exactly zero.

It is a better air filter however, so I console myself with that fact.

Now if you want more hp, turbocharge your system.

While SMFCPACFP has his own experience, I have mine. I did the measurements of gain on my Halltech Tric which is a bottom-breather. On before- and after- dynos it made a net +10 rwhp and +15 rwtorque. I like the results. AND I like the noise the intake makes at WOT.
