I just priced a set for my 2002 vert in stock sizes and they were $1650 for a set of four mounted and balanced out the door at Costco. I'm going to save up over the winter and put a set on when the car comes back out next spring.
I'm paying less than that for a set of 4 new tires mounted on new 18" wheels! Not runflats... but still...
Yeah the 'new' PS2 ZP released in September along with the second generation A/S "Plus" ZP. Since I had the A/S ZP on, I just replaced the rear's with the Plus's. First generation wore out too quickly which is what Michelin supposedly fixed in the Plus version.
I thought about PS2 ZP but I want to take a trip this winter and the PS2 is a summer tire only.

That reminds me: I wish tire vendors would drop the terms "winter tire" and "summer tire." By "winter" they mean "snow and freezing temperatures," and by "summer" they mean "everything else." The best rain tires are "summer" tires (but not all "summer" tires are great in rain).
The tread wear on this tire is only 220. I wonder how long they will last?
About 10 minutes...I went GY F1 AS's with 420 treadlife, 2 year free roadside service and absolutely fantastic traction, cornering, noise level.handling and same width as oem runflats. Am I happy with them? OH YEEA! Under $1k out the door with 30 day refund policy at discount tire plus $50 GY rebate.
I think those are general categories Summer Winter, they usually say in the overview of the tire, not intended for freezing temperature.
You would need to look at the data on the tire like tirerack provides such as traction on wet roads, dry traction, snow traction, etc. Most UHP tires are not all season, i.e., mud & snow. I'm aware the Pilot Sport A/S Plus addresses those issue and is yet a UHP tire.
The new ZR1 uses the PS2 ZPs. Must be a really good run flat.
Help me out here, I cannot find any data comparing the noise levels of the PS2 to the original Gyr RnFlts on the michelin website. I would like to know in DB terms the difference, can I hear something other than tire noise in the 2001 Verte?
