Default Michelin Looks After Us

Just released! For the C5, C6, and ZR1. Unfortunately no size for the C5 Z06.

http://www.michelinman.com/ps2zp/

I talked to some folks who have tested these. The word is these tires are just amazing.

I agree there, but I also think in general you get what you pay for.

I just priced a set for my 2002 vert in stock sizes and they were $1650 for a set of four mounted and balanced out the door at Costco. I'm going to save up over the winter and put a set on when the car comes back out next spring.

That's a pretty good deal. I went online the other day and priced them from the Tire Rack. About the same price if ordered online. Man, I'm checking out Costco tomorrow. I might have to lift my ban on french products.

GM engineering supported the change to these on the ZR-1 becasue they outperformed GY's offering.

Heard this last year at the LBGP ..... seems GM finally looked at something other then GY, and low and behold there actually was a better product.

Although not a great size selecton just yet, the prices are close to the original PS2's.

".... In addition to the Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires developed for the 2009 Corvette ZR1, Michelin will also offer run flat replacement tire sizes for selected Corvette C5 and C6 models.

Pilot Sport PS2 ZP replacement tire sizes for the C5 Corvettes include:

Front - 245/45ZR17 95Y
Rear - 275/40ZR18 99Y

Pilot Sport PS2 ZP replacement tire sizes for C6 Corvettes include:

Front - 245/40ZR18 93Y
Rear - 285/35ZR19 99Y

Pilot Sport PS2 ZP Original Equipment tire sizes for the 2009 C6 Corvette ZR1 include:

Front - P285/30R19 (87Y) LL (Light Load)
Rear - P335/25R20 (94Y) LL (Light Load)" (from the Tirerack web site)

Plus don't forget, if you buy a set you get a "free" Auto Art C6R model per their website.

A good alternative to the usual offerings. Should be an excellent tire.
