What makes the Red 50th Anniversary Edition different than a regular 2003.

The 50th anniversary package included the special red paint, unique front fender emblems, champagne-painted aluminum wheels and center caps, and a new shale interior. They had the 1SB content along with a new F55 magnetic selective ride control system. The interior also included embroidered logos on the seat headrests and floor mats, and leather padded door armrests and inside door pull handles. 50th anniversary verts also had shale color soft tops.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the MSRC was standard equipment?

Wasn't the special red paint a three stage process? Base coat, clear coat and tinted clear coat?

I don`t know about how many stages but the metal flakes were supposed to be uniform in size. Personnaly speaking, my paint job pretty much sucks, I notice in Consumer Reports the paint showed improvement for 2004 models.

it was on the 50th AE, remember all `03s are 50th anniversary MODELs, hence the badging front and rear, but only the 1SC package makes it a 50th anniversary EDITION. Here are the 3 option packages available for `03.

1SA Base Equipment Group
Includes Parcel Net and Luggage Shade (coupe), Fog lamps, Sport Seats, Power Passenger Seat, Dual Zone Auto HVAC

1SB Option Package
Includes 1SA above, Head Up Display, Electrochromic Mirrors, Drivers Memory Package, Twilight Sentinel Headlamps, Power Telescoping Steering Column

1SC 50th Anniversary Package
Not available on Z06. Includes 1SB above, 50th Anniversary Red Metallic Paint, Shale Two Tone Leather Trim, 50th Anniversary Paint/Trim Package, 50th Anniversary Aluminum Wheels, Magnetic Selective Ride Control

Are you sure about that? Every discription that I've seen on the 1SC 50th Anniversary Package says "50th Anniversary Aluminum Wheels":

50th Anniversary Package:
Not available on Z06. Includes 1SB above, 50th Anniversary Red Metallic Paint, Shale Two Tone Leather Trim, 50th Anniversary Paint/Trim Package, 50th Anniversary Aluminum Wheels, Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

Also, see 1SC package at the following links:

You're right about the MSRC being standard equipment, I lust looked it up.
On my 04 CE it's an option that I have and like, and I wasn't sure about the anniversary editions.

As has already been stated. Just keep in mind that other than the exterior and interior color, the champagne aluminum wheels and the fender 50th badges (though some have said their 2003 came from the dealer with those side badges as well on non AE cars) the AE had no performance or other distinction.

And the Magnetic Selective Ride (which was standard on the AE) could be ordered on coupes and verts that came in other colors (I ordered my Electron Blue coupe with the MSR).

Are the wheels silver of Champagne? Pictures I have seen show silver wheels, but the guy at works 50th has a goldish color to them which looks much better than silver and makes more sense since its the 50th year.

Stock is definitely a goldish hue.
Certainly could have been changed, but it would be a little unusual if they were still the thinspoke style.

They are "Warm Nickel" if ordering touch up paint for the wheels (called Champagne in the Chevy brochere).

And yes, the body paint is 3 stage. The touch up paint comes with a Base coat, then a Mid coat, then finally you put on the Clear coat.
