Just made my first trip from central FL to NC for a dragon visit! 52 degrees, nice leaves... wow. best part though, the vette avg'd over 30 mpg on the highway : )
Ok after a 12 hour drive starting at 11 pm last night, i think its nap time.
it is awesome!!! I took a drive tonight and there are quite a few vettes up here
i will say though as a passenger and at night this road is a trip, i got really disoriented and felt really weird. tomorrow is picture day, ill get some good ones!
some of the killboy guys were running around while i was driving, ill have to see what they came up with
so far, one guy that we know dumped it off the edge, but no injuries at least. no word on his car yet.
I was down there last month and had an absolute blast!!!: Watch out for those TN statey's though...they busted me, but gave me a warning!!
Post some pics!!
Hey man I was on the Dragon today (well yesterday) too. Up there from Jacksonville, Fl. Just got back. The guy that dumped it off the edge (riced out ford focus) kept the police occupied! Had a few really good runs through, def put the car through its paces! We headed back to Florida down 68 which could possibly be just as good as the dragon! Dragon is low speed some parts of 68 are high speed (55-70) in the turns...and NO traffic!
The Corvette Expo was pretty cool. Some parking issues which sucked. The cruise Friday night was nice, must have been around 200 vettes in the cruise!
What a great weekend! I'll post pics tomorrow! I'm tired.

hahah that focus is part of my friends group, he caught a wheel on the edge and it pulled him over. They said they pulled it out and it still ran fine, he's driving it to breakfast with us today.
Hey Jeep! long time no see.... again...
dont worry, pics a plenty.
Well redrck, if you got a wave from a lone silver, and then later from a goofy guy walking down the road... that was me

Were you the one in the Grey C5 that was pulled over? We past you and waved
Anyway didn't take many pics on the dragon cause i was occupied driving, however here are a few from the area and from the cruise!
About to leave from the events center. We were about #50 in line!
during the cruise
enroute to the dragon
It was a long trip and I ended up with a bunch of rock chips on the car, but I really dont care. It was worth it!
We were up in Gatlinburg a few weeks ago, but with the combination of sky high gas prices (that was right after the hurricane) and all the talk about the LEOs picking on sports cars, we passed this time.
The road down from cling-man's dome is quite fun at "speed" however
