Two years ago my left muffler rusted off. I did not have alot of money and with X-mas around the corner, my family gave me gift certificates to Mid-America. I bought the SLP loud mouth for my c5. Some hate the sound, some luv the sound. It sounds great from inside the car! The issue: this year when I got it out of storage, I was pulled over by the local police. I store my car a couple of hours away in a very small town my stepdad is from. The funny thing is the cop looked under my car and saw no mufflers. He never ran my license and just bs'd about the tuners and wish he still had his chevelle. He did say if I was pulled over by the other cop that works in the town I would have got a ticket. Its nice to know even some police have a luv for cars and understand the things we do. Now, what do I do about putting mufflers of some kind under it and keep the loud mouth? I really like the 4 monster tips and dont want spend money on a new system. PLEASE HELP!
I do. The main issue is if i do get pulled over and the officer takes a peek under the car. I have no problem with putting "fake" mufflers on, so it looks as if I have them.
I have also thought about putting side pipes on the car. I think it would look really sweet. If anybody that knows there way around photoshop...A pic of a blk coupe with side pipes. Im not sure how the exhaust would run or bolt up, but I think the look would be sweeeeet!

Check with a local muffler shop and see if they have some very short mufflers that they could weld in line for you - it may take a lot of fabrication to hook up to the SLP pipes as they come over the axle and then to hook the tips into the muffler.
