Okay I have long tubes and aftermarket exhaust on my 03 z06. the car is throwing a CEL for the o2 sensors after the 'catalytic converter'. There was a guy here in town that I was talking to about it and he said there is a part that you can get from Jegs or Summit (i've looked at both places) that will bypass those sensors (he said it was some wiring that is pretty easy to plug in). I'm having a bit of trouble finding this part, probably because I don't know what the name of the part is. All of that being said, what is the name of this magical device so I can buy one and get it on the car to get rid of that pesky yellow light. Thanks for the help!
Sounds like your talking about an O2 simulator. They're tough to get ahold of now that the feds cracked down on them. Jegs and summit no longer sell them to my knowledge. You can have the rear sensors programed out with a tune.....
Okay, I can make that happen but what do they use to tune the car? A chip in the ECU or something? Like I said before, I don't have anything in my car that can be hooked up to a computer (like a wideband) for tuning.
