i would like to hear from people who have put on the borla exhaust, are u all happy with it? is there anyone who regrets having it installed? is it to loud? is this exhasut the most popular for the c5?
I have the Borla Stingers on my 02, six speed, vert. Love them. Not too loud, and they "rumble" great when you back off. Have heard Corsa's and I personally like the sound of the Borla's better. Good luck!!
I'm running Borla Stingers (oval quads) and they're terrific. They're a little louder than Corsa Touring but still not offensive to the general public. Borla's tend to have some gurgle and popping on decel, which I personally didn't care for. However, after adding headers and and an X-pipe, the exhaust was smoothed out and the "motor boat" popping was eliminated.

I love my Borlas. Only other exhaust I'd even consider would be the GHL's, but that's a distant second. Wouldn't trade the Borla's for anything else I've heard.
There is a little bit of drone at certain RPM's, but not bad at all. Let's face it, if you want lexus quite, than you're in the wrong car to begin with. Everyone is different, so see if you can hook up with someone local to take a ride.
I like the aggressive sound from my Borla stingers. If you like aggressive exhaust, then Borla would be a good choice. Like everyone on here will tell ya, hook up with local people if you can to listen in person to differing setups before committing to one type. I went to large meets. Also consult any local Corvette clubs in your area.
i had borla stingers and they sounded awesome but the drone when cruising on the inside was horrible... ~ nick
I couldn't agree more. I had Borla Stingers and after 3 months, couldn't wait to get rid of them. Yes, they sounds great... nice muscle car sound. But if you're vette is a daily driver, the drone on the freeway gets old really fast. Try talking on your cell phone with that drone in the background. I switched to Corsa Pace car and couldn't be happier. Super quiet on Freeway Cruise. They do sound different. They are high pitched with a more exotic sound.

I just had the GHL Bullets put on my car and they sound great. They have a nice low rumble at idle and a "race car " sound at WOT. There is no drone at all. I never heard the Borla stingers but after talking to some people and reading posts about the drone decided to go with the GHL's to avoid disliking tham after putting them on. I didn't have many opportunities to go ride with someone before deciding but I think that would be the best plan.

^^
Shouldn't be talking on the phone when driving anyway!! NC just outlawed that this past July...
But, I have quad oval stingers w/o x-pipes or headers, and I love them. Great rumble at idle, a little popping on decel, but I had never noticed until I got rid of my runflats!
Best to follow the above advice and try to find different setups and decide for yourself.
I love my borla stingers, but now that i have added headers and X pipe i am getting the dreaded drone on the highway....with stock headers there was no drone and they sounded great..I have the two tip ones...I may trade them in for something a little quieter now that i have the headers on it, the drone drives me crazy
As mentioned in previous posts, the Borla's have a great muscle car sound. I added mine when I had a stock motor - They sounded really nice. After the addition of a cam, LT Headers and high flow cats, they're frigg'n awesome! Although drone is pronounced at certain RPMs, the overall experience is great and I don't plan on changinig them. I get constant compliments on the sound. The sound at full throttle as you reach redline is unbeatable.
