According to the 2002 Corvette brochure, here are the differences:
Engine:
exclusive cylinder heads, special light weight valve train, camshaft, intake, pcv system, enhanced LS6 engine block. 405 hp, 400 lb. ft. torque., special air filter box and MAF sensor
Driveline:
Special high strength driveshaft, heavy duty clutch, special gearing in the 6-speed man. gearbox, 3:42 anti-spin diff with shot-peened ring gear, special front brake pads, special Z06-only suspension (springs, roll bars, end links, tire alignment), "trans overtemp" warning light, wider wheels w/ wider non-runflat Eagle F1 Supercar tires
Other stuff:
Front air inlet screens, rear brake cooling ducts, specific instrument cluster, standard HUD, titanium exahust sustem with no "pup" cats, special thinner window/windshield glass to reduce wieght.
I think that's about it. Pretty significant differences. Also, the Z06 is a fixed-roof copue only, no targa tops or convertibles.
