Fortunately, Colorado now has a "Keep right except to pass" law
Seems to me that part of "I must have misread..." should have included an apology for the attack.

So you state you are a LEO, yet you condone speeding and breaking the law. Given your further comments, I would hope they are in serious jest as you are stating you wish to blow someone's tires out while they are driving. Seems to me some one of supervisory nature should remove you from duty for an evaluation and remove your privilege to carry a weapon and a badge.

I'll certainly be sure to avoid your state in my travels.

When I got one too many speeding tickets and grew up a little realizing how dangerous it is and not worth wrecking or causing someone else to wreck. Too much at stake. I used to drive like the biggest A-hole everywhere. When myself and friends were teenagers, we used to go driving around looking for road rage and races

I haven't slowed down yet....

But I am with everyone else that says they choose what situation is more acceptable to break the speed limit.

I think as corvette owners, most (using that loosely) of us are better drivers than the general commuter on the road. We are able to handle 300+ horsepower sports cars that a normal person would have a much higher percentage to wreck if they got behind the wheel.

Saying that, I think that we are much better judge on when it is ok to go above the speed limit and have fun with your car, thats what the corvette is all about anyway, having fun and enjoying your car.

So, cheers to everyone that knows how to have fun with your corvette and still stay safe!

Attack???....Didnt think I attacked him at all....There is in FACT a lot of people on this forum that dont own Corvettes....

and yes, I was speaking "in jest" about blowing tires out...But it is DAMN aggravating when people gum up the fast lane, and could care less that theyre doing it......Obviously it was causing a problem as a law has been passed to Keep right except to pass.....

As far as condoning speeding...What I implied is I dont know how anyone could own a Corvette and not exceed the posted speed limit from time to time...Ive taken several speeding tickets over the years...never waved my badge once...You play you pay....Which is a lot more than I can say for several of the boys in blue I stopped back in my traffic days that flashed their badge like it was a speeding permit!!

I've driven at +5 over the speed limit for many, many years. Probably will continue to do so.

Most states have that law to keep to the right except to pass. On interstates that only have two lanes trucks usually have rutted the right lane and some drivers have a tendency to stay in the left lane. Granted they should move over for faster moving traffic.

Some states go even further and state that if your doing the speed limit in the left lane and you are slowing down faster moving traffic (those exceeding the limit) that is a violation.

Regardless getting angry doesn't solve any problem. Just a thought.

I'm in a weird phase. I've own the Z06 for three weeks now. I came from a highly modified, supercharged Honda Del Sol that I drove for 11 years. Always 10 over on the streets and 15 to 20 on the highways.

Now with the Vette, I'm still 10 over in the streets, but speed limit or less on the highways. You'll find me loping along in the right lane, just cruising. Beats me why this is happening.

Oh, I occasionally romp it on the highway. I just seem more mellow in the Z. Maybe, perhaps it's because the car is nicer and refined than my old car. Dunno. Maybe I need to change out my avatar to Driving Ms. Daisy or something.

At 17 years old I had accumulated six speeding citations and had one collision. A city court judge told me if I got one more ticket and appeared before him, he'd take my drivers license away until I was 21 years old. I believed him.
I realized I had nothing to prove. Now I just cruise. I probably saved enough money on tickets, insurance, time off from work to go to court and fuel to buy a C6/Z06. Thank you, your honor!

The higher pressure was more about going from a colder climate into a warmer one AND higher elevations. I let a couple of pounds out on each tire later. Then added back when I returned home......from the track.

Yep, shortly after this "Keep right except to pass" law was passed last year a TV crew accompanied a State Trooper near Colorado Springs on I-25...Most of the people he pulled over for lolly-gagging in the fast lane complained "but I wasnt speeding"...one fellow went as far as to say "I figured I was helping you guys out by not letting people speed"....No, what youre doing is interfering with the flow of traffic....Keep right except to pass means JUST THAT!!!

And youre absolutely right....it doesnt do any good to get anrgy at these people.....get past one and it's not long before you encounter another one......There will ALWAYS be inconsiderate drivers on the road....
