Here is the thing... my boss has a few bucks and too many cars. He offered to sell me his 2003 convertible that only has 8,000 miles. So we haggled a bit and settled on a price of $20K as he just wants it gone. It has been in a controlled storage environment for 18 months and best I can tell was not properly stored. My thought was to tow to the shop and flush the fuel system, get a new battery and check the tires. Anything else I should take a look at?
By the way, this seems to be a fairly unique version as it is white on red with a white top (never heard of a whit top). He also said it was a 50th anniversary version with the stitching in the seat. I thought only the maroon and champange interior were 50th Anniversary package? If it is white with red and 50th is it worth more than all the look alike versions?
Thanks for the feedback. Price is too good to be true and I just can't pass it up. Since I am in MN and the car is in FL I won't get to see it for a few weeks. I just never saw the white top on a white convert let alone the red interior. If anyone has that combo can you post a pic??

My opinion? It's toast, gummed up, worthless, dry-rotted, in need of a lot of $$$ to bring 'er back, and is nothing more than a static museum piece at this point. But being the good hearted CF'er that I am, I'll bail you out of this money pit of a C5 and give you your $20K. Do you take PayPal?
Car sounds VERY nice. I wish for you all the best of good times to you and your new car.
Thanks for the pics, it helps put things in perspective and by the way, nice car!!
I am thinking I am going to like this one as my current red/black vert. I guess I only need one more and that would be blue. Think I will save that for an '06 Z06!!
Well, I finally got this all straightened out. The car was actually a 2002 Convertible but it did only have 8,100 miles on it. It had been stored for the past three years but not covered. At first glance I wanted to walk away, after a few hours of elbow grease this is one beautiful car. Click on the "My Corvette Photos" to the left of this message to check it out.
