Its really up to you, dont do anything thats going to put you in a bind later on in life, this is not the time to be spending alot of money if you dont have it, but there is nothing wrong with saving, i say save and wait till you have enough with some to spare for a bad day if and when you need it.

Good advice.

I bought my C5 when I was 24. Only you can assess your overall situation to decide if you can afford it or not.

(Bought mine when I was 21).
Your either gonna hear dont be stupid, buy a house etc etc, or the way I see it if you can afford it without sacrificing to much then go for it man, you only live once right? Have fun.
Defiantely wait until you are bringing home the paychecks and see how much you have left. The vette is low maintenance so that will help. You do not want to buy a car and run into problems keeping up with the payments and have to sell it later for a loss

Prices are down, the C5 is an economical car and insurance is pretty cheap on them. The Z06 will most likely have a surcharge, but still not bad. And they are reliable. If you feel you can afford the car (and the advice about waiting to see how far the paycheck goes is good), go for it.
