Default Big question

Hi! It's me again !

I'll prolly have a job soon, (minimum wage that is...) but, i was wondering if It's worth it to get a 2003 Corvette Z06 (dream car). I"m 24 BTW.

Rising gas prices, recession, economical crashes...

Is it worth it to work hard ans safe 20,000$ for a Corvette, or if when i'll have the cash, it's gonna cost too much to run it ?

Option

A) 1988 camaro Iroc-z with some mods

B) save and get a 2003 Z06 some years from now

Thank you

I bought my C5 when I was 24. Only you can assess your overall situation to decide if you can afford it or not.

I'd say wait until you get a job and see how much money you have after you pay for things you really need.

Its really up to you, dont do anything thats going to put you in a bind later on in life, this is not the time to be spending alot of money if you dont have it, but there is nothing wrong with saving, i say save and wait till you have enough with some to spare for a bad day if and when you need it.

And work on your spelling before filling out an application.

Defiantely wait until you are bringing home the paychecks and see how much you have left. The vette is low maintenance so that will help. You do not want to buy a car and run into problems keeping up with the payments and have to sell it later for a loss

It's not the maintenance I would be worried about. It's the mods.

Prices are down, the C5 is an economical car and insurance is pretty cheap on them. The Z06 will most likely have a surcharge, but still not bad. And they are reliable. If you feel you can afford the car (and the advice about waiting to see how far the paycheck goes is good), go for it.
