My little sister was in Denver on Tuesday and Wednesday as a speaker at a mine safety seminar. With unseasonably warm weather here in Colorado, it gave me the perfect excuse to drive from Steamboat to Denver (175 miles) watch her presentation, have dinner and drive back. Two mountain passes, some spirited driving and I still got 26+ mpg. You got to love this weather!
Most Friday mornings (our weekend here in Bahrain) I get up and out at around 5 a.m. and go for a blast up and down a 40 mile long stretch of new 6 lane highway. Not a cop in sight, guaranteed!
Then the long way round to the grocery store for breakfast ingredients and home for around 9 when the family are just surfacing.

I try to make a road trip about once or twice a month, Nowhere special, Just to take some pictures and look at the country side and to drive the winding roads we have out west here. A few weeks ago I got up early drove 130 miles one way just to take a few pictures on the C5 on the Black Rock desert.
Just got back from Niagara Falls, Canada, round trip 135 kms....roof up, way too cold here today +6 C. Next week should be back in the teens but still too cold for the vert option...looks like roof is up for the year !!

Exactly, just heading onto the highway with the music blaring, and just enjoying the open road, especially if there are some curves to do, i love hitting a curve where irt says 40 mph, and doing it at 60 mph, and the vette just handling it, and saying bring it on, good times for sure, in fact i just got back 10 minutes ago, me and the wife just cruised, nowhere to go, just enjoyed the day its 66 here today
The same goes for me, especially the on ramps, when you know you have the power to get on, but seldom use it, unless you need to, and then knowing that you achieved your goal
Just did the same, a 150 mile jaunt. What's better in life?? Not much!
well their is, if you have a hot wife/gf and she likes the same thungs you do, i always like to bring the wife along, especially well you know on ramps, speed, get my point
