Just wondering how easy it is for C5 drivers to be blinded from headlights from behind?
I was driving home tonight in my Toyota and I was getting blinded by a modified trucks. I know some C5's have that auto dim rearview mirrow, which is what my Toyota has also, but side mirrors can also get glare. Since C5's sit so low, it seems that ANY car can have that effect. Is that even something to think about or am I just crazy? (If so, I think I'm fit to be a C5 owner this winter )
On a side note, I think trucks should NOT be allowed to be modified to be sitting very high. They should not be road legal. Not only do they run those huge tires that occupy YOUR lane when they're next to you, they are also as tall as buses, and many drivers are a-holes. They drive it like they're driving an ATV in their backyard. I dislike them very much, and I think they would be dangerous to everyone, especially to low sitting cars like vettes! And that's a

Kinda, but not exactly. I'm talking about the ones that you see in those shows. Like the tires are TWICE the size of the ones in the picture. They ALWAYS cut into other lanes because of the whole width.

I really didn't find my C5 was any more succeptible to the blinding headlights than my other cars. IMO, it's not an issue that would prevent me from purchasing a Vette.

Lifted trucks like the Chevy pictured above are to high to shine their lights into my rear window!!!
I have 20% tint in the rear and the auto dimming mirrors... It helps alot!!! Of course if their lights are in my mirrors like that it takes little to NO effort to get out of their line of sight..............
I've never really noticed much glare from any vehicle while driving my C5. I have dark tint on the back hatch, so perhaps it helps. Honestly, I've never had problems with lights behind me...
I just don't like trucks that are oversized, along with drivers that think they are driving an ATV. Dangerous for the road, and **** a lot of people off.
I don't know about the laws. Does anyone here with police background want to explain the limitations of these truck modifications?

It's my opinion that if you "lower" your C5 correctly most of the vehicles approaching from the rear, the annoying beams of their headlights will go right over the top of your Vette!

I remember someone crying about trucks trying to race them. Your truck and a few others were brought up!! I have seen a Twin turbo Cummins Dodge do a 12 sec 1/4 mile! It also did a HUGE 4X4 burn out on Super swampers!!
My comment was a general statement, geared toward normal people not the CRAZY ones!!!

I don't have a real problem with tall trucks ( but in some states I believe that your only allowed to jack up a truck only so much) something about tall trucks having a greater side impact effect, Like the truck above. but I'd be scared to get broadsided by this bad boy? And I think the lights would shine right over the top of my C5 !
