Default Yet another ABS error message

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm a new member and have encountered my first problem with my 02 coupe. while driving over the week end the service abs, service traction control, service active handling message came up. I accessed the codes last nite (thanks corvette forum on how to do this) and if i did it correctly the codes are A1 RDCM 2283, 2285, and 1064H. Also 28TCS C1214 HC

Any help as to what has to be done next would be appreciated.

Check the grounds and if not pull the EBCM and send it off to absfixer.com for a rebuild. The important code is C1214HC. That is the same one I had, and even after fixing up the grounds, I still had problems. I sent it out for rebuild and have been problem free for well over a year.

Where Trussme when you need him with the instructions!

I also just changed my battery from a 1 year old regular to a brand new optima and my warnings went away! so far...I've only driven the car a handful of times since but it had been doing it as I get out of the driveway each time before.

Thats just like me. It has happened a few times. I back out...put it in first then start to drive off and bam.

well maybe you'll be lucky too, how old is your battery?
go get one of these crazy optimas and it may juice everything enough to forget about the problem!

Not to sure. I bought the car about 2-3 months ago. Its an 02 with about 30k miles on it so it could probabally use one. Especially when it going to just sit in the garage all winter. Have to buy one of those battery tenders.

yes I'd maybe wait until after the winter and then buy the new battery
chip at CCA has a new battery tender out that I'd consider if I didn't drive my car at least once a week

Unless you would consider me living at your house for the winter.
