Default Poor customer service

I've had issues with one of my HID bulbs not firing up. I've tried all the fixes. It is only on one side, So I swapped the ballast no help, the fuses no help, wired to the battery with relay wiring kit no help, removed all electrical connections used diaelectric grease reassembled no help, added grounds to each of the ballast's no help. So, I contacted djmotorsports several times during the last few months asking for help and all they said was to send it all back if I'm not satisfied. They did send me the resister to drop the buckets but I practically begged for it. I did the 194 bulb trick, they said that I had fixed the issue of the buckets not dropping but, I insisted that the resister was the correct way to address the issue and since they were giving them to customers that purchased before me I figured I should get one also. They did but I feel like I'm pulling teeth. Now I still have the no fire issue I've left PM with them and they have not made contact with me yet again.
I do not want to hurt any ones business but I spent my $$ and I feel that they are not standing behind there product. These have a 1 year warranty so how do I get service when the selling vendor ignores it's customers. My HID fogs however operate exceptionally well purchased from another vendor who is stepping up to help me out by selling me a single bulb. Gee maybe djmotorsports will pay me back for the purchased bulb. If any of you guys want to know more about the fogs PM me..

The set I installed last Friday didn't light, the HID input connector had the wires reversed so that the red + was connected to ground and black - was connected to +12v. After I reversed the wires they worked. Check the car bulb connector, black is ground and the HID red wire shouldn't be connected to it. I also found that removal of the two pivot bolts and motor arm nut allowed the whole lamp assembly to be taken out.

Sorry to here your dilemma. I have never had a problem with DJMotorsports. I bought a set of seat covers from them. Decided that when they arrived that I wanted a different look & Dave ordered me what I wanted. I sent the set I had back & got the set I really wanted. BTW, they ordered the new "Off line production" set before I even sent the 1st set back. I couldn't ask for more.

Steve,
Your bulb was sent off today. If that doesn't work you might have a bad ballast, but from what you described it should be the bulb. I had a similar case a few months ago. I sent the guy a ballast, battery relay harness, and finally a bulb. The bulb was the fix.

Issues like this are why I have not "upgraded" my stock C5 lights.

I was in auto-repair for decades and can't stand parts that don't perform correctly!

interesting....when I had an issue I got everything I needed ASAP and my system was over a year old...all I did was email them. I find it hard to believe that this is the whole story so...let me contact Davis and Dave for their side. I cannot recall anyone else saying they ever had this issue with this vendor..

standby..

edit: email sent to vendor 9:45 am EST

don't really understand this post. Your PM was sent 12:42 am Saturday morning THIS IS AFTER THIS WAS POSTED WHERE YOU SAID YOU HAVE HAD ANOTHER UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT OF CONTACT.. I spent all weekend working and planning my car show for Sunday 11/9. I replied to you 1st thing Monday Morning and you bash me for customer service? Didn't you also splice into wires prior to receiving our resistor? As far as bad customer service..... we have given you everything you asked for. I sent you another ballast to try. Offered to send you another bulb. You are still having the same problems. Generally if another bulb,(from another vendor) and 3 ballast don't correct the problem, its more than likely the wiring on the car, specifically the splice. We have no history of your car and unfortunately the wiring is not always the same from 97-04 which was have encountered.
