OK i have a question why does it always go into AC mode when i try to turn on the fan for either heat or just outside air, is that normal? sorry to hijack, hope you dont mind
Sometimes I understand hijacking if it has something to do with the existing thread, but your question has nothing to do with security.

As to original poster, try cleaning key with alcohol. If this doesnt work, try cleaning grounds (see Bill Curlees post). Also try pulling up your codes.
I would suggest piulling the diagnostic codes to see if any are being posted - if so the codes should help you isolate the problem...
Well I cleaned both of my keys. Security still stays on.
Pulled codes had several with past ABS problems that ended in H. Had one that had 40 BCM B2723 HC.
I tried reset. Security still on.
Any more ideas?

From posts I've seen in the past, if the security light is on and there are no codes, I think it has been either the keys or the ignition switch. Since you've tried both keys, chances are they are not the cause. You may want to pm Bill Curlee to see if he has any thoughts.
