I saw one of these for the first time at the Silver Springs show in Ocala, Fl a couple of weeks ago..the one I saw was black..I've never seen one on the road. I just think they're cool..anyone own one? Any feedback?
Builds like that always bring a huge 'love/hate' persona. I'm pretty sure that car is a Tampa car and I've seen it and a few others for a few years now. Doesn't do anything for me and its not my money, so to each is own applies here.
We have one in our Club, I think it is very cool looking. The proportions are wrong, but it is professionally done. I would not pay $40,000 for it though.
The 1962 Resto-mod porportions are much better, it looks "more real".

I've seen a few at shows several years ago when the kit first came out. Nicely done but not for me. The proportions are so off that it looks odd to me. The kit adds no value, will never make the car appreciate and is a waste of a C5. The C5 is a work of art, why destroy it?
When the kit came out, people took brand new C5's and had them converted when they could have bought the real thing plus have a new C5 for nearly the same price. Here is a beautiful Red '54 that I see for sale for $55K on a popular Corvette website:
