salvage title but its fixed humm well if anything will give me an car to tinker with but from what is said id say that some really rich guy or some on with no brains wrote this one off an as salvage title by accident, but makes good for me being that it states that some people may stay away from it.
oh please let me get this one ie don't go on there an out bit me just because you can, i know 99% of you wont but im referring to the annoying 1%
right colour but its an automatic but i don't mind maybe get the stick later but it dose seem to scream Z06 in parts so who knows
The only Z06 parts I see are the rear brake ducts. Do some more research. It kinda makes me wonder as to why he or she took those night shots on a car that is for sale?

You missed the carbon fiber vinyl Z06 door handles Price doesn't seem bad at all, but who knows where it will go right now. Goodluck on it!

C5 Z06's were all Fixed Roof Coupes - not Targa. All that Z06 stuff is add on - not saying it doesn't look nice but NOT a Z06 of course. Also for a little rear end damage the insurance company IS NOT going to total this car out with a salvage title. So I suspect there was a lot more damage in the rear end of this than what the owner is saying. Get some more information from him on the salvage title bit. This beast may go down the road side ways.
Since the body looks good, I would suspect flood damage to get a salvage title.
It does look as though it might be a salvaged car. The seats look way to good for a car with 70k on the clock. But, on the other hand, it's not a bad price for a parts car.
as the saying goes...if its sound to good to be true it probably is!!!!
be careful..

With so many nice cars with clean titles available for sale - why look at a car with a questionable history....because it's cheap?
If you can't afford a car with a clear title - you need to do one of several things....
1. Look at an older car that costs less
2. Look at a car with higher mileage
3. Look at something other than a Corvette
These cars can cost a fortune to maintain - and if you don't know why this car has a salvage title, then walk away....no wait - RUN AWAY!
If you have exceptional mechanical skills, or if you plan to race this car on a track, and you have no worries about ever selling this car - then by all means, go for it. Personally - I wouldn't want it.

????? There's 4 plus days left... You think no one will bid on it? Just because there's "no reserve" or the reserve has already been met, doesn't mean it won't sell for good money. (Whether or not it has a goofy salvage title or not...) The whole sale looks a little goofy to me... and if there's no minimum, he's got a buddy bidding enough to keep it from going cheap!! I'd stay away or at least look it over very carefully. If you've ever watched something sell on eBay, it can rise in price quickly at the very end.. VERY quickly... Use caution... and see how high that price goes in the last few minutes!!
In an earlier post you stated that you are going "to take auto next year".
What year of high school are you in?
You also stated in this post that if you buy this C5 "it will give me something to tinker with".
These cars are not like a lawnmower. If you don't have any practical experience you won't be "tinkering".
And do you really think you're going to buy a 2002 C5 for $3000??
I tend to disagree about the "tinkering" part. Just because your not a licensed mechanic doesn't mean you can't work on your car and make it a learning experience. Everyone has to start somewhere, and if he wants to start on a vette by all means. This is what forums like this are for, and manuals, even Google.
