Sorry about the late reply but I'm fairly busy during the week to get some time in on working the vette. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm going to give it one more go this weekend before calling you guys (ARH). This is the first LT header install I've done. My expectations for how easy they should go in might have been skewed by how easy it was to install the driver's side. I'm doing this by myself in my garage on jack stands so it can be frustrating at times.
I got the header in finally. The magic combo was getting the front in the air about ~22" and using some force to push back the AC line. I think I wasn't applying enough force before (just trying to be careful). I did have the motor mounts loose but I don't think that made a difference.

Congrats man! I think the key really is the AC lines and from the sound of it you experience exactly the same thing as me. You were probably hesitant at first to really place that much force to push them out of the way but then gave it till it dropped down and everything worked out fine.
