I unlock security and doors with the FOB and insert the key. Dash interface cycles normally, radio works, headlights bright, but when I turn the key to start, NOTHING! No click, just fuel pump. It seems like I am locked out by security. Any help? Stuck at work on a Friday.

Try to clean your key, sometimes work, also flip it over too, might work, If not you might have to take off the center console and look at the iginition switch and look for 2 tiny white wires. This happened to me and It turned out to be the tiny white wires were broke. Good Luck!
Theoretically, if the fuel pump turns on, the security key should be fine. I would be more inclined to look at the battery, battery connections and battery ground.
Just because you have enough juice to run the FOB, door locks etc., and things seem normal, doesn't mean there is enough to fire the engine.
If the console cycles normally, and the security light does not stay on, I would lean towards the battery being weak. Check it with a meter.

Checked it with the Jump, connected and disconnected from the battery. But thanks for all of the battery mentions, as I get the bump too the top.
Check very carefully the large red wire to the starter from the battery. That connection sometimes works loose or corrodes. Check on the starter end to see if it's moving when you move the wire. Also make sure the clutch switch is making when you press the clutch in. When it fails, pump the clutch all the way in a few times and try again. The safety switch may not be making.
Can you hear the column lock engaging and disengaging?
I just had ignition switch replaced, and still getting the same problem you are getting. With mine.. the column lock is definitely a co-conspirator if not the villian.
This happened to someone I know and we discovered that the floor mats were interfering with the full throw of the clutch pedal. Repositiong the mats cured the problem. Before yopu replace the starter or battery or ignition switch, do a voltage drop test at the starter.
I Triple AAA'd my car home with a Jerr-Dan tow tonight, and plan to lift it and check underneath for cables and starter conections in the morning. I'll jump the starter while i'm at it. My buddy has a computer to check to see if an error code shows up. I have heard in the past that the C5's have a rare glitch in the security that I may have to have a dealer flash and fix. Tomorrow I will talk to the local dealer and see what info they have after the usual suspects have been rounded up and been dispatched with. I will keep the forum posted.
I'm having an on-going problem with negative battery cable connection. Seems to be a common problem especially with non-OEM batteries where there is not a tight connection. Anyway...tried new side posts, ground down the new post to shorten it a bit. Seems to help. Battery always seems to have enough power for lights, memory seats, etc. but not enough juice to start.
