Finally There..
I've been lurking on the Forum almost that long, and have learned quite alot in the process -this place is the only place I've found where you can get the straight "poop" on Corvettes ,and this community seems to be made up of some of the most helpful, knowledgable people around.
So,after work today,I'm going to look at a Nassau Blue '98/MN6/57k miles,30 miles from here.
I haven't bought a car since 1992 (I keep stuff awhile),so I'm a bit nervous, but with what I've learned here,at least I know what to look for and what to avoid.
Thanks again,
I'll let you know what happens...

curing the mod fever is not cheap. some never recover. and the treatment can be thousands of dollars per year.

You already know the C5 is a fantastic car that runs like it looks...! I encourage to buy your dream and drive it often. Good Luck and be sure to send pics once you posess it.
Got to San Luis Obispo to look at the Vette, and the guy wasn't there, but his brother was -Said I could take The Vettefor a spin while I was waiting.
Which is what I was going to do,then the guy says "oh there he is"- driving up in a Lamborghini Countach!
My wife says to him "So I'm guessing you like fast cars?"
Anyway he hands me the keys to the Vette and says "Take it for a ride, see what you think"
Well,it ran as good as it looked,so now I'm the proud Owner of a 1998 Nassau Blue Vette, with 57k miles
And the grin is not going away-it is awesome!
(and even more awesome since it's in MY garage right now)
Gotta clean it up tomorrow(the guy apologized that it was dusty),but right now I'm just going to go out to the garage and stare at it for awhile (that's what I was doing before posting this)
Here's a few pics of it on my front lawn,I'll post some better ones tomorrow, after I give her a bath...
