Default HUD access

The other day someone mentioned being able to drop the driver's side kick panel and steering column assembly. Can you access the rear mounting tab screw on the HUD module without pulling the dash apart by doing this ?

If you are asking if you can get to the projector without removing the dash, I kinda doubt it.
When I installed my HUD, I remember a lot of dash support, wiring and other modules all below the projector, let alone the firewall, that I find it hard to believe you could actually access any connections on the projector without removing it from the top.

Besides, it's not as complicated as it sounds to remove the whole dash pad.

The back tab screws in from the top.

I pulled the dash pad for the first time, replaced the HUD and put it all back in 2.5 hours. It wasn't hard at all.
