After reading all the posts here on repairing the targa tops, I decided to tackle mine.
I used 800 grit, 1500 grit, and 2000 grit. All wet sanded.
Took it to a painter I know and had it cleared.
Wet sanded again with 2000 grit.
Polished and buffed.
Thanks to everyone who posted on this before or I never would have thought of trying it.
Looks awesome! I've been really wanting to do mine also, just haven't talked myself into it yet. How long did it take you to sand the top down? How difficult was it to do?

It only took me about 1 1/2 hrs total.
Approx 1/2 hr each for the 800 and 1500 with an air sander.
I did the 2000 by hand in straight strokes, probably another 1/2 hr.
