In 1977 I was in my senior year in college, had bought a '67 427/435 coupe with hooker side headers, my only transportation. I was working part time installing grain bins in SW Iowa, drove it to a job site out in a field, wet and muddy. Virtually filled the wheelwells with mud but made it back out of there to the blacktop and to a carwash. Earning $3 an hour, but jobs were thin back then (Carter for President!?!) for college kids. Would I do that now in my Z06? Thankfully I can afford a "mud car" now.
1. I drive in the rain. YES
2. I have gone a few days without cleaning it. YES
3. I have driven in through hail. NO
4. I have left it outside not in the garage before. YES
5. Sometimes during lunch I eat in my car. YES

Going from a 67 427 to a C5 ZO6 is a downgrade. Sorry for your loss.
RULES! I don't need no stinkn' rules! I have let my beautiful golden retriever ride in the passenger seat with the top down a few times. It took me 3 days to get all the dog hair off the inside!
Yeah, after the car with the dead battery failed to start after several attempts, it occurred to me that I shouldn't be trying to jump start a Jeep with a 'Vette, given the sensitive electronics.
A few weeks later at a car show, one car wouldn't start. I loaned my jumper cables but said they'll need to find another car for the power.
Now I'll just use the cables if MY car needs a jump.
Frankly, I don't drive her enough. My 2YK is a definte "Garage Queen" with less than 9,000 miles. She is stored from late fall to early spring and I had her in storage for two years due to a move. :bb

Two years without enjoying driving it? I start getting a bit jittery if I've gone two days without firing her up.
What rules do I break?
All of them...
It stays outside,
It gets wet,
I haul groceries and whatever will fit in it, [ coupe],
I drive it every day..heck, it is my daily driver!
I don't pamper the paint...I can spot respray and clear cote any damage that I feel needs attention during the summer...
I don't keep it stock
I change wheel and tire combinations to suite the weather and driving intent - 3 sets of wheels/tires now!

Drove mine through a Canadian winter last year.
Put 2 sandbags in the trunk.
Started it with an overnight low of -42 degrees celcius without it being plugged in. (no boost needed, man was I proud)
Needless to say my Jimmy will be doing the majority of the winter driving duties this year.
i've driven mine in the rain, i rarely don't have a day where i don't run up thru the first 3 gears, Once while i got caught in a bad rain storm i pulled off on a side road and it happened to be tore up and i went thru MUD with the car It was alright though the heavy rain washed it back off. It hailed but maybe Pea sized. Only went about 2-3 days without washing it when i was actually driving it. Otherwise it's cleaned almost daily(it's black) Had it out during the winter when i put the new wheels on and i drove it where salt had been. I've eaten in it many times. and it stays outside. Sometimes in the spring the tree's let off sap so it stays covered then but otherwise it's not covered. All i can think of off hand

Just for fun, I am sure I have broken almost all of them. I'll start.
1. I drive in the rain.
2. I have gone a few days without cleaning it.
3. I have driven in through hail.
4. I have left it outside not in the garage before.
5. Sometimes during lunch I eat in my car.

Who told you there were Corvette rules? Hey, it's your car and yours to use how you will. It's a damn versatile vehicle.
