Orange rear side marker lights?

Are there aftermarket side marker lights (the rear turn signals on the side) that are amber vs. red? If so, any legal issues with the change?

Yes, many members have installed amber side markers to compliment their Euro tail lights. I got mine from LA Performance Division. As far as I know, they are legal in all states.

I have had mine on since 2000 and never had an issue. I dont think anyone has actually noticed them ever.

I had mine fitted for two years in Vegas. If you look around many of the imports have these as standard. No problem

You can get them almost anywhere from catalogs. I have had mine shortly after taking delivery of the car. No problems.....and I think they look much better on an AE

They're not legal in California. California Vehicle Code section 25106 (b) states that all side marker lights within 24 inches of the rear of the vehicle must show red color when illuminated. All other side marker lights must show amber color when illuminated.

I have them on my black C5. No problems in NJ. However, I do expect that any day they will begin to tax any color other than red.

Hi everyone, I'm in the process of registering my car (04 Z06) in Ireland and one of the requirements is to have rear orange side marker (side reflectors). Red ones are not ok here, anyone could assist and help me find the pair? Have searched, but didn't find it anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks, but I'm in Ireland. Orange side marker is a requirement for me to be able to pass the import inspection, was told that by an official today again.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have red on the left side and green on the right? Works for boats and planes.

Do they need to be amber lensed? Or just amber when lit?
Cause with clear lenses you can make them whatever color you need with the right bulb choice.
