You weren't Very clear in your post,,what conditions is it reaching this temp? All the time, sitting in traffic on a hot day and so on. According to the tech guys in the corvette magazines 240 isn't all that high under certain conditions. That said check the radiator/AC condenser fins for junk. You always want maximum air flow through there!!
I will be looking to do the same thing also. Mine does not reach that temp but it is getting hotter than I care for. I actually took a look around yesterday to see how to get to it, Chevy covered the radiator up pretty nice so it will probably take awhile to get to it.

Drive up some ramps and look from underneath. I use a long thin stick and carefully waved it from right to left to removed the build up of leaves and etc.

you can remove the air intake bridge and then the radiator upper support cover to get in there.
You need to explain more of the operating conditions. It is possible to see 240 or more when in traffic or where the car isn't moving much. If your temperature is normal 190 to 200 while driving at 55 to 60 your cooling system is OK.
Here is how the fans operate:
The low speed cooling fan is commanded on when the coolant temperature reaches 108°C (226°F). It is turned off if the coolant temperature lowers to 104°C (219°F). The high speed cooling fan is commanded on when the coolant temperature reaches 113°C (235°F). It is turned off if the coolant temperature lowers to 108°C (226°F). When the A/C is on and the coolant temperature reaches 85°C (185°F), the low speed cooling fan will be turned on at vehicle speeds less than 56 kPh (35 mph).

That is a bit high on the temp. I agree with looking at the radiator area under the front fascia and see if debris is there. If not, then check further in the system.
WEll im in houston so the weather is good condition in 70s an when i drive it goes down no normal 220degrees but when i slow down or stop it goes up too 240degrees!

I would be concerned about a normal driving temp of 220F. I know it can do that, but I usually turn on my heater to keep it around 198-205F. Maybe I am paranoid.

220 is way above average operating temps for me. I usually run about 194-196 degrees with the stock thermostat. But mine has been tuned so that the fans will both kick on if it hits 200. Highest I've seen mine is about 215 or so. And that was sitting in traffic, AC on, hotashell outside.
Went under the car yesterday to change the oil. I looked up into my radiator area and saw this frog all dried up. I`ve had lots of other things caught up in there but never a frog, maybe its time for the mesh cover.
a lot of good suggestions many of the post could be the cause start with inspecting and cleaning the rad check fluid level and condition of anti freeze good luck
