I once twiddled a little Car out of a Block of Pine, I Slapped some wheels on it and took it to a local race, to my surprise other kids had on this same uniform as I had on.
We used the long bar SS @ the mounted unit to soften all the leather. Works great. It always did a very nice job on my C4 seats but the C6 seat texture was a bit too gritty for it. C5 I don't know but it should work out.
Available @ some western wear stores or where they sell horse saddles.
tired and true leather treatment products..........
I have used saddle soap and Shinola shoe polish for years. Being that Shinola went out of business in 1974 its getting harder to find but not impossible. I have stock piled the product. After cleaning , I use the original Shinola because it is made from tallow and lanolin. No better product on the market today. I also use Mane N' Tail shampoo for my beard

Sounds like you know your **** and Shinola. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I wonder which is better? Mink oil or saddle soap? (I have both, I use mink oil on my shoes, and the wife uses the saddle soap on the horse stuff)..
Actually neither on this type of leather. Saddle soap will work, but it will tend to dry out the leather. Mink oil is a conditioner that should go on after cleaning with saddle soap.
However, it is better to use products specifically designed for this type of leather (fine leathers). You'll find on the labels of some products they say, "do not use on glove soft leather" which is what my sofa and love seat are made of.
Zaino makes excellent products to clean, protect and preserve your leather seats, as well as other products like McGuires.
For those still wanting to find saddle soap, it is in your grocery store where the shoe polish is located.
I use it all the time, A MUST ON LT OAK SEATS! I just rinse with a wash cloth in soaked in warm water to make sure I clean the soap residue from the seat. I let dry a day, then apply my seat "dressing". I know, I'd cry and have a fit if I wrecked those BEAUTIFUL stock leather seats.............NOT! They do come out really clean and supple.
