Mine has the same problem, check out the post below. I was unable to locate the guy on ebay that repairs them for $70. A new one from the dealer is about $300. I am told there is a resistor inside the unit that comes loose. I can still see mine so I've been holding off in hopes that I can find someone that can re-build it instead of buying one for $300.
Very common problem but can be fixed easily by you if you want. I can't solder to save my life and mine works perfectly now. Follow the link above and then the 1st link in there
i did this fix a few months back. it is so much easier than one may think. it was blantantly obvious what the problem was if you know what you are looking for. I am an avionics tech so i see these kind of things all the time. you dont have to be good at soldering just need to re-attach. see below. any question feel free to PM me.
