How crazy would it be to transplant an Audi A4 interior into my C5? I can get all the interior parts for the Audi from a friend in Germany used. I'm talking the whole dash, center console and door trim. Obviously I will be doing it at a shop that have done some crazy stuff. I know the measurements will be different and they'll need to do some extensive cutting and welding for the dash and doors but what other problems do you think I'll have?

Has anybody done something like this? Or should I just get an S4 instead

Thanks,

- Ray
Ray,

Why not give a company like www.callawaycars.com a call. They do complete interiors - here is one done recently:

(All plastic is now covered in German leather and the carpeting is wool - center console is dark blue Carbon Fiber)

Go ahead and try it if you want, just don't forget to post pics. Then everyone can judge and you may even start a new trend.

I vote wrapping with leather and custom stitching with some custom work to the door panels. Would look and feel amazing. Also , I think the blue and white interior looks amazing. Compairing that kind of quality work to a honda interior is just sad.

The interior is actually a slightly darker blue than the pic shows. The complimenting color, is actually a light gray.

Here is the rest of the car. No wing

The quality looks first rate, but I'm sorry those colors are way too much and I don't think they go with the car.

trade the vette on an audi or have a custom interior done [personally i'd recommend a paint job and some wheels also ,but your call on that].

I say go for it.... but it's going to look a little odd to have the Audi emblem on the dash of a Chevy.

I have an A4. Personally I think the interior is nice, but not that much better than whats in my Vette. Also the interior components on my A4 all run through an interior VAG system that runs off a digital voltage instead of a straight 12vdc system. You are looking at big $$ to do this and personally think it is a waste and a custom made interior would cost less and if done right, wont decrease the value of the car like the audi interior would.
