I had them on a 2004 Honda Accord coupe V6 6 psd and now the Vette.
They are the best performance tire I've ever driven on in the rain by alot....I've had Continental, Yoko A520's, Dunlop SP Sport and these were night and day in comparison.
They are a great all around tire on dry pavement too...I haven't really pushed them yet in the Vette though.
I do know that the General Exclaim UHP's have been getting alot of positive feedback and they are dirt cheap in cost....
There is nothing even close to a good deal on the Goodyears. They are ridiculously expensive. Good tires maybe, but expensive. For a good deal, you can get some way cheaper tires that are almost as good.

I have had several sets of Goodyear Tires (Factory Installed) and as far as I am concerned they all sucked. They were noisy, they cupped when the alignment was right and the tires rotated correctly and the belts separated. All different cars and different driving conditions with different drivers. I wouldn't take a set if they were given to me. I have Pilot Sports on my 99 no complaints.

Pretty interesting article in Corvette Fever (just got it today). They compared all tires for C5's, both run flat and non run flats. It was a pretty objective test that measured the noise decibels inside the car. Virtually no difference between run flats and non run flats and in fact at some speeds the non run flats were louder. I have always liked Goodyears and don't find them any louder than other wide performance tires.

That's quite interesting, I'll have to read the article.
My personal experience with the non run flats presently on my 01, is that they are VERY much quiter than the previous 2 sets of run flats on it.

I would agree with the article on brand new tires. When Good Year tires get a few miles on them and you have worn through the softer outer compound it is a different story. They become extremely noisy. As I said earlier in my original post I have had numerous sets of Good Year tires on different well maintained vehicles and still had problems. Since I don't have control on what comes on a new vehicle I may wind up with a set but I will not buy any as replacement sets.

Very true, and especially so with their EMT tires.

I guess with Bullets I'm not going to hear any tire noise
