**** Coilover HELP ASAP*****
We are trying to install a set of PFADT coilovers with their new Delrin/Aluminum bearing system. The backs went fine, but the front we are having trouble with figuring out how to set them up exactly. If anyone has any insight please post up. We checked PFADT's site and they only have directions/specs for the rear setup.

I am sure this helped everyone a lot. Some of us just wasn't born knowing everything and then we have to reasearch and ask questions. The only help I can give is this tt to get you back up top for better viewing.

HAHA thanks Buddy I was posting that for Neil to see I was there when he posted it thanks for sticking up for me
Andy - I'd asked John to shoot me some pics of the trimming/drilling that needs to be done in the rear floor area since I'm gonna have a 13" Focal sub/enclosure plus twin 5# nitrous bottles back in that area of my C5. Any chance ya might be able to hook me up w/those & post them here? I can't get JB to come back down to the Motherland ( Louisiana ) to see his ride in person ( yet ) but I also plan on having Pfadt's front & rear.
I haven't done the stereo work yet so I'm trying to decide whether I want to do the stereo work first then work around the fiberglass enclosure to do the Pfadt's or do the suspension stuff first. I already have the stereo components & will be doing the work myself so cash flow may dictate this route. Just trying to see what I might need to allow for in the back for the sub enclosure. Thanks!!
JB - Man, w/all the power U're making plus the Pfadt's are surely gonna make ya push your sweet ryde hard, U better be planning on upgrading those brakes!! I ended up w/Wilwoods ( 6 piston/14" rotor front & 4 piston/13.25" rotor rear ). Now I gotta got the intake piping powder coated so that I can get on the road myself & try them out. This setup DID work well on my twin turbo'ed G35 so I'm sure they'll do the trick on my C5.

Reason: add question
Hey Gene not entirely sure what your looking for? You mean the area you have to drill and trim for the L5's I know we didn't need to do anything like that for the coil overs.

Andy - Not certain but I THOUGHT I'd seen an install in Corvette Fever or Vette magazine & they said they had to drill a hole in the rear floorboard for the top of the rear CO's to be mounted. If I'm right I'm thinking that might be to allow the top mounting nut or something to that effect. I'll go dig through my archived magazines & see if I'm just having a senior moment!!
Great job on the install to ALL of ya!! Wish I had a group of 'Vette gearheads in my area so that we could help each other like ya'll did.

Gotcha now!
No Drilling required my friend! The Pfadts have a wrench that is supplied with the coil overs where you just turn them to set the ride height.
YES!! THAT'S the one I was thinking of ( still haven't found that magazine ). Guess I'll go look on the Pfadt website - thanks, Kid96!!

You have to measure from the wheel well and from a mold seam. Just make sure you find the correct seam because there are two, the one you need to reference is very faint and you don't want any extra holes in that tunk.
