$15k difference is well worth it for the C6Z... either the C6Z is cheap, or the 04 is overpriced. I'm betting on the latter... keep looking, you can find a C5Z for $5k+ less. And BTW, the Z16 is not a limited production since it was the most produced Z06 of that year. If you are into rarity, you can pick up a purple, green, or gold 'vert with a white top... I'm sure they only made a few of those back in the day.
edit: I just saw the $35k... that's 6k-10k overpriced, depending on your location. I'm sure there's a few threads on here that cover the decreasing value issue for C5s.

I have both! let me explain, Ive owned over 150+ corvettes over the yrs. all modded, etc. but in 2007 i bought 06 c6 installed procharger etc,etc, nice fast car. then someone offered $$$$$$$$$$ for a very high end modded c6,SOLD. bought 2007 c6z nice car, now modded! about 3 months ago,bought 2004 comm. ed. z06 5k miles, stock. 04 gets the most attention!!!! plus I like it best, feels like a corvette!!!dont get me wrong there all nice cars. but the c6 interior is cheap,compaired to c5. for value $ are about right, lets see some other posters find low mile 04 comm. c5z for under $30k not gonna happen. my 2 cents? youll like which ever you buy. but buy one and join the club.

one is 35K , one is 50K. Both are really kool cars, one is way more fun to drive. One cost 15K more, one cost 15K less (the one that I think is more fun to drive) .

I have my 01 for sale all the time, always thinking someone will buy it one day and I will go out and get another, maybe a C6, then I go out for a drive and come back and cancel the Craigslist add ! Then a month later I repeat the process. I have been doing this for a year now !
When I drive the C5 Z06 it brings me back to the muscle car days of the late 60's/70's. When I drove the C6 cars , I really liked them but I kept thinking I was in a 1000 hp Escalade that really handled great !
There's just something about the C5 Z06 that when you are driving and you hit a bump, and you get rattled, you are thinking something definitely broke off the car ! " Geeze !!! What was that " !!!.....and then you stop , get out , walk around the car and count the wheels !

I do this all the time! Im always hearing things in that car...like Im afraid its gonna fall apart on me. I really have no idea why, because its never given me any troubles at all!
