Rake or stance is the difference in ride height between the front and rear and it can definately throw off the handling if it gets too far out of whack. Here's a thread that talks about it further, hope this helps explain what I'm trying to say.....

I think I may raise the back up just a touch. Being a long time street rodder I understand the "rake" positon and look.
The rake is the look of having the rear slightly higher, or a lot higher for hot rods, than the front.
