October 22,2004 I had a cam/header package done at LG Motorsports, I had the G5X3 cam, long tube headers, high flow cats done, since then every year I have difficulity getting my car inspected due to multiple codes, after much difficulity I was able to get it inspected after an average 300.00 bill per year. After the first year I drove all the way back to LG from Houston to see if they could fix what was wrong and to no avail it was a wasted trip and not much interest from them, I even spoke to Lou personally.
I have spoken to many people at corvette shows with all kinds of set ups and no one had an inspection problem.
Well December 2008 inspection has failed and I'm tired of going through this every year. If anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated
2004 Inspection results
catalyst: not ready
2nd system: not ready
O2 sensors: not ready
O2 sensor hearter: not ready
Result: FAIL
2008 Inspection Results
Catalyst: not ready
O2 sens htr: not ready
Result: Fail
2005, 2006,2007 were all the same as 2004 Back in 2005 I even faxed LG a copy of the failed report.
If I had to do this all over again I would choose to leave my car stock.
I AM LOOKING FOR SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM WITH MY CAR AND I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD HELP.

Don't you just love this silly inspection our car have to pass. Florida did away with emissions and safety inspections. I wish we would follow their lead.
I feel your pain as an X New Yorker i know the problems with inspections.. I now live in Florida....NO INSPECTIONS OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!!! Florida told the feds to keep their road money as it was costing Florida more money to run inspections than they got in return from the feds.
Do I understand that you are getting it inspected in Houston? I've lived in Texas over 30 years, and never had any of my cars hooked up to anything that elaborate, but I live in a small town. You might try driving out to some little rural community where they still do the low tech. inspection. All they ever check here is brakes, lights, horn, insurance, wipers, and that's about it. Takes about 10 minutes. I knew there had to be a good reason for living in the boonies.
First - forget the suggestion by Darrell G - in Texas OBDII is a requirement - and the testing parameters are associated with the respective county your Vette is registered in.
Next: more information is required to assist.
By chance did you do a 'clear' codes prior to your inspection?
If so, did you drive at least 50 miles from the clearing of codes to the actual inspection?
Do, or did you have a Check Engine light at the time of inspection, or within the previous 50 - 100 miles prior to the inspection?
Lou is fairly reasonable in assisting in these matters. What has he recommended?
Has LG previously 'Tech II' out any codes in the program (I.e., made them read "not ready"? If so, are they associated with the codes on you inspection report? If so, ask Lou why they are set that way.

Men,that's awesome and I'm jealous
Now i Florida would only stop the freakin' speed traps using AIRPLANES ! I'd considering moving

I don't see any codes there. All I see is the system isn't ready as it would be if it was reset shortly before the inspection was run. After a reset it takes a number of miles and starts to to certify the systems as ready.
As somebody else posted did you have a lit MIL and reset it before you went to the inspection? Based on your post it looks like your actions before getting an inspection may be the problem.
Darrell is on the right track. Texas has some strange inspection rules that only apply to areas that are heavy populated. Go for drive in the country and get your car inspected in a small town. You should not have a problem unless the first shop has already put a failure tag on your car.

What were the actual trouble codes that were thrown? It looks like you just reset the system and did not put many miles on the car before the inspection.
Thanks for the feed back, the codes were not reset before the inspection in my opinion just a shoddy job done by LG, I have already called Jason since I know him and have become friends he will look at my car and see what he can do to take care of this problem.
