My key Fobs had been loosing sync with the car every 3 or 4 days for about 3 months, i thought no big deal just re sync them and it will be fine. well they wont re sync now and i have tried the fob training process and its not picking them up.
the fobs are good had them tested at the dealership. could the RCDLR have gone bad? if so whats the part number for a '00
I doubt it. The usual is for the fobs to last 8 or 9 years or so then they die for unknown reasons. Some have replaced the batteries with a few having success and others have found a hairline crack on a circuit inside and got them going again, but the majority of people here, neither of the two are the problem. The fobs just die. About all you can do is to contact Gene Culley and buy new ones while they are still available. I personally contacted GM about them and all I got for a response is to contact the dealer. The dealers don't have a clue either. I tried to get a schematic, but GM refuses to relate who the manufacturer is. I can tell you the new ones are assembled in Mexico.

both fobs transmitted on the machine. my car doesn't have any Tire sensors so i can't tell by that way either.
I have a '97 and I am just now having the same problem. I tried getting a new battery, but that did not help. I guess I will have to buy a new on. How do I get in touch with Gene Cully to get a new one?

I know you tested the fobs, but that's still going to be the problem. Borrow a known working fob from a 98-99-or 2000 and train it to your car. If it works, you'll know for sure. If you search on the forum for keyless entry problems, you'll find dozens of 2000's with the exact same problem. They seem to be prone to this. Don't take my word, SEARCH. Order one from Gene Culley for $59 and be done with it.
