Default Hid bulbs question

I have a '04 Coupe. I have been toying with idea of getting the HID bulbs. What is the groups opinion of these. Are they worth it, more light? I know that I get different hues, but what I want is brighter and the blue look is not important.

How hard are they to install?

Any feedback would be helpful.

Happy Holidays to all.
May you and you families enjoy and be safe.

Please give a moment of silence and thanks to all the troops who allow us to enjoy everything that we have....

I installed HID's in my Vette and I have to say it is the way to go, You have a number of options in color, I used 5000K and they still have a slight blue tint, I have never been flashed, I didn't have to reaim the lights, I did my Highs and Lows. There is a GB from jw motoring if you do a search for a great price.

Mine are the 6000K, lows and fogs. Best mod you can do, if you drive at night. Simple install if you can turn a wrench.

I've yet to do my headlights but have them in my fogs. I use 6000k bulbs in the summer and 3000k yellows for the winter!

I have HIDs on me 'O4 but had some problems that are now solved. Overall I think that with all the aftermarket halogen bulbs available I would not do the HID install. I was more nuts about brighter lights on my Camaro, now I can live with "simple". It's up to you the install is not that difficult, but you really have to want it.

For some of the best pics of what you can expect with the difference between the HID's and anything else...

Some people have reported problems with the up/down function of the lights and there are several work arounds for it. Mine... I did nothing.. Just plugged um in and have not had a single problem. I did up the fuses to 15 amp though.
