How does it shift into reverse without the car running? If it goes easy with the car off you may have an issue with your reverse lockout soleniod.

I'm beginning to wonder about that myself. All of a sudden I have shifting problems...change shifters and it seems a little worse. Back to tranny or clutch....WTF ??? This McLeod Twin has turned into a great clutch once it was abused about 25 times. It slips great on the street now. I love it....smooth as silk. I sure hope it is not my shifting problem. I have never missed a 1-2 shift in this vette, never-ever...all of a sudden three 1/4 mile runs were like I hit a brick wall. It would not go into second. My dang tires are just old enough I can't test on the street either. Third gear is breaking loose at 3/4 throttle around 3000 rpm...just like I am on ice.

I need to take this damn thing to the track and test it but I am afraid something will break and I just lost my job !! Crap...
Break it..... and it is down for a long time.

Sorry, that is my Christmas bitch for 2008.

Have u tried Ranger's technique for cleaning out the fluid? It may not help but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I keep the fluid clean. In fact it was still too clean to bother with on the last track day. Clear as can be.

It makes no difference if the ignition is on or off.

It does seem to make a difference if I've been driving hard, then park up, you can pretty much forget getting reverse

I had a fuse blow once and it totally locked out reverse until it was replaced. The other gears were fine. When the fuse went, it threw a code.
