Difference between X and H Pipe

I have the Corsa Pace Car on my 03 Vert. I had the same popping and gurgling sound and hated it. When I was at Carlisle this summer, I went to the Corsa tent to find out how to get rid of it. They said to replace the "H-pipe" with the "X-pipe". I went to the Kooks trailer, paid $300 for the Corsa "X" and had it installed in 15 minutes at the Corsa tent for $26. The sound changed tremendously. I love it now. No more popping or gurgling
One last question, Your car has Cats or dont?

i have B&B Bullets on my Vette and when it was just an intake and catback car it had the stock H pipe and sounded like a tractor at idle. I went with the TSP LT's and O/R X pipe and it sounded GREAT. no more putt putt
i DO, however, think i will be going to be adding Cats as the smell from a heads/cam/LT's car is rediculous and gets on your nerves after a while. If you don't mind losing 3-4hp then keep them. The car will smell like crap(unburnt fuel) if they are gone...
